זוהר בראשית — דף קכד ע”א

Summary

The Zohar continues with the new song: Rabbi Yosi says it will be sung when the Holy One, blessed be He, takes vengeance on behalf of Israel; then the dead will awaken, the world will be renewed, and the serpent that caused death will pass from the world. He interprets the verse “I will put enmity between you and the woman”: the woman is the one who fears the Lord, the serpent’s offspring are, according to the text, the peoples who practice idolatry, and her offspring is Israel. The Holy One will remove the serpent; in the world to come there will be the “head,” and in this world the “heel.” The text then states that a person’s days were created in the upper ranks, that after seventy years no rank sustains them, while the days of the righteous endure, and it asks about Ishmael.
