זוהר בראשית — דף קכח ע”ב
Summary
The Zohar explains that Adam entered his place but Eve did not, until Abraham received her on his behalf; hence the text says “et Sarah,” the added word including Eve. It links this to the phrase “These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created,” and teaches that Adam and Eve were established thanks to Abraham, as the verse shows: “the field and the cave were established for Abraham.” Rabbi Elazar asks his father Rabbi Shimon whether the cave is double; he answers that the cave is the Machpelah, and that the field takes its name from it because the cave lies within it. He adds that beneath Jerusalem the whole Land of Israel is doubled: there is a Jerusalem above and a Jerusalem below, and the field holds this “doubling.”
