זוהר בראשית — דף קעב ע”ב
Summary
The Zohar continues to describe the house: the herald calls out, the gates open, songs rise, and the house shines with six lights until morning comes, when the stars sing praise. “Unless the Lord guards the city” refers to the night, when the gates are shut and no uncircumcised or unclean one draws near. “Jacob journeyed to Succoth” stands against Esau, who went to Seir; “and built himself a house”: Rabbi Elazar says he established the evening prayer. Then “Jacob came whole,” and afterward “Dinah went out.” The text describes ranks in conflict, the ox and the donkey; Jacob was first bitten by the serpent and now by the donkey, and Simeon and Levi stand against it.
