זוהר בראשית — דף קצג ע”א
Summary
The Zohar completes the verse from Joel: “mighty is the one who carries out His word” refers to the righteous person who engages in Torah, or, in another explanation, to the powerful accuser who receives permission and takes the soul. Then “At the end of two years” is opened: Rabbi Hiyya explains “He sets an end to darkness” as the end of the left side, which roams the world and accuses, and “the stone of gloom and deep darkness” as the stumbling stone of the wicked. The Torah proclaims daily, and whoever labors in it is attached to the tree of life, which has branches, leaves, bark, trunk and roots, all one; the children of Israel cling to it at various levels, those who study Torah at the trunk. Rabbi Shimon explains that “end” is a place without remembrance, and that Joseph’s “remember me” was a mistake, since everything is in the Holy One, blessed be He.
