When Jacob wished to reveal the end of days, the Divine Presence withdrew from him. Why did it withdraw? Because Israel is not worthy of knowing when the Redemption will come. Anyone who seeks to know the end of times will find the Divine Presence departing from them. Jacob knew that the Messiah would come from his sons, but he did not know when. The secret of the End is kept by God alone.
