When Jacob prepared to depart from this world, he confessed before the Holy One blessed be He. Any righteous person who confesses at the hour of death merits the World to Come. The secret is that the faith a person strengthens at the hour of death is the faith that accompanies him to the World to Come. All souls that die in faith ascend to the supernal Garden of Eden. Jacob's confession at the hour of his death shows the right path toward the World to Come.
