זוהר בראשית — דף רמג ע”א
Summary
The mandrakes found by Reuben symbolize the renewal of Torah teachings revealed through the sons of Issachar, who possessed wisdom of the times. Torah innovations, both old and new, are preserved at the entrances of synagogues and study houses, drawing Israel closer to their Heavenly Father. Whoever diligently studies Torah and knows how to bring forth new insights, those words ascend to the Throne of the King and the Community of Israel treasures them. When the Holy One blessed be He rejoices with the righteous in the Garden of Eden, she presents those words before Him and He is crowned with supernal crowns. Thus the Torah words renewed by the righteous are written in the Book of Remembrance before God forever.
