The celestial guardians above are judged in the river of fire when the people they oversee falls. The prince of Egypt is brought to judgment for oppressing Israel. The Egyptians merited receiving Israel within their territory and did them some good, but ultimately they looked upon them with malice and enslaved them. Every nation that does good to Israel merits redemption, and every nation that harms Israel receives a severe judgment. Amalek and Pharaoh brought judgment upon themselves and were destroyed from the world.
