זוהר שמות — דף יא ע”א

Summary

The Zohar develops the mystery of hevel through the act of the wicked man who refrains from sin, showing that this hevel is strengthened also in the wicked when they act rightly. Solomon saw all of this under the Moon's dominion: the righteous perishes in exile through his righteousness, while the wicked (Samael) prolongs Edom's peace through his evil consort. Amram marries Yokheved and a heavenly voice reveals to him that the hour of Israel's redemption is near. The Shekhinah dwells in the Garden of Eden where the souls of the righteous emit a celestial fragrance.
