זוהר שמות — דף נ ע”א

The Zohar opens with the verse Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who acquires understanding. Wisdom reveals itself in a chance encounter on the road, and the Holy One prepares a gift for the person who travels. The Zohar teaches that Torah is more precious than rubies and pearls, and is the tree of life for all who hold fast to it. Wisdom is the superior tree of life, and understanding is the light that shines from within it. Whoever occupies himself with Torah is beloved above and below, and the Holy One listens to his words.
