This folio discusses the Tablets of the Covenant: sapphire tablets, two sealed stones, into which the Holy One, Blessed be He, breathed His spirit to engrave the two Tablets. The Tablets were a divine work in themselves, and their function transcends nature. The mystery of the lower Tablets and the bond between them is revealed: it is the secret of the Covenant between the Name and Israel. Moses ascended a second time to Mount Sinai to receive the second set of Tablets after breaking the first ones because of the sin of the Golden Calf.
