זוהר שמות — דף פז ע”א
Summary
The Zohar teaches that the Holy One blessed be He has many faces: illuminating and non-illuminating, upper and lower, close and distant. Israel merits clinging to the King's supernal faces where He and His Name are unified. Other nations attach to the distant and lower faces. Ishmael, through Abraham's covenant, earned a place above all other nations' faces. Rabbi Yehuda and Rabbi Hizkiya express grief over the generation that will be bereft of their master.
