The Zohar establishes that one who reaches thirteen years and above is called a son of the Knesset Yisrael, and from twenty years on is called a son of the Holy One blessed be He. The example is King David, to whom « you are My son » was said when he reached his fourteenth year. Before that age, a person was in the years of orlah and the supernal soul had not yet rested upon him. The section returns to explaining the themes of revelation and the mystery of the supernal soul sent to a person.
