Nothing in the world resists repentance, and the Holy One accepts all sincere return. Even sworn oaths are nullified by teshuvah, as in the case of Yekhonya who was declared "childless" but afterward had sons. The Holy One draws close with the right and pushes away with the left, but the right draws near even as the left pushes. Every transgression is healed once one returns to Him, as it says: "I have seen his ways and I will heal him." The wicked who refuse to return are lost, but those who repent are received.
