זוהר שמות — דף קח ע”א
Summary
David's oath to Shim'i was sworn on his sword bearing the engraved sacred name. Solomon killed him with wisdom by the Explicit Name and not by the sword, answering words with words. The heart admits nothing — David being the heart, he accepted what was unworthy, hence the instruction passed to Solomon. The Holy One desires no offering in the name of Elohim, only in the name of the Tetragrammaton. The sacrifice of Elohim is a broken spirit and contrite heart — the appropriate sacrifice for one afflicted by a bad dream.
