Folio 124a examines the verse “Hear My people, that I may testify to you” (Ps. 81) which David spoke by the holy spirit. The Torah warns man in many places, and the Holy One warns man for his own benefit so he will be vigilant. “Hear My people” means heeding the words of the Torah. The discussion of the prohibition of idolatry shows that the Holy One is He who brought Israel out of Egypt and that He is their God.
