The thirteen praises of Yishtabach correspond to the thirteen supernal attributes of mercy and must be said with full concentration without interruption. One who interrupts them causes a flame to emerge from under the wings of the Cherubim, which declares that he has cut off the glory of the Holy One blessed be He.
