Job was of the family of Ram, the highest of all, from the supernal side. When Satan led him astray from the straight path, he was seized by a cry that was not shameful. The Holy One, blessed be He, hears the cry of the righteous, and it is said of them that He has fire in this. The secret of Job is that the righteous man who transforms his lot for good through the path of faith shows he bears a spark of supreme contemplation that does not fall. The evil inclination of Job descends from his supernal and tries to discredit him, but in the end Job righteousness is revealed and his way is seen to have been straight.
