זוהר שמות — דף קעו ע”ב
Summary
The Sifra di-Tsniuta — the Book of Concealment — opens with five chapters contained within a great palace that fills all the land. Rabbi Shimon responds to Rabbi Yehouda: indeed so, for one who has entered and exited — but not for one who has never entered. A parable illustrates: a man from the mountains who had only eaten raw wheat came to the city and discovered bread, cakes and royal delicacies — all from wheat. One who grasps only the principle ignores all the refinements that flow from it. This is the secret of the Book of Concealment — the book weighed in the balance. Before the balance existed, faces did not look at faces, the ancient kings died, and the earth was annulled.
