זוהר שמות — דף קעט ע”ב

Summary

The parasha 'Ve-Ata Tetsaw' opens with Rabbi El'azar's question: how do the multiple 'Ve-Ata' harmonize in the verses? Rabbi Shimon responds that they all fit together: 'Ve-Ata ha-krev eleikha' means to unify with him the secret of the Holy Name as required. 'Ve-Ata tedaber el kol hakhmei lev': the Holy Spirit speaks within them and whispers to them in secret, then they accomplish their work. The invocation 'Ve-Ata Adonai al tir'hak' expounded by Rabbi Shimon reveals the secret of the ascent and descent of the Shekhinah, linked to prophecy and the destruction of the Temple.
