Rabbi Shim'on opens with the verse « Come into the ark, you and all your household ». The paracha Vayaqhel deals with the construction of the Tabernacle. Noah's ark was the means for Noah to be saved from the spiritual flood. The Holy One blessed be He urged Noah to enter the ark because the flood is a spiritual flood requiring concentration. When Noah was in the ark, he was protected from the storm of waters. The Tabernacle is the equivalent of the ark, the place of concentration of the divine Presence, which is why Vayaqhel deals with its construction.
