זוהר ויקרא — דף ז ע”ב

The Zohar comments on the verse 'Assyria oppressed him without cause': Assyria cast Israel to the ends of the earth and took their land. Egypt, in contrast, used Israel for its service and built upon them. The Zohar explains that these two slaveries were different in their character toward Israel, and that both serve as prefigurations of the two future deliverances.
