זוהר בראשית — דף יז ע”א
Summary
The Zohar teaches that the central Pillar — Yesod — contains the three vowels: ḥolam, shourouq, ḥirik. Day belongs to the right side, Night to the left, and the Moon is suspended on the left. From Yesod proceed the celestial armies, spirits, and holy souls. The Zohar explains that during exile the Moon diminishes and its light wanes, but in the future its light will return to its original amplitude — "You shall no longer need the sun to light your day" — for divine light will shine directly. The passage continues on the secret of "Vayomer Elohim yehi Meorot" — the luminaries created on the fourth day.
