זוהר בראשית — דף צו ע”ב

Summary

The Zohar concludes the verses of Isaiah on the vineyard: “He planted it with choice vines” is linked to “seed of truth” and to Abraham’s begetting above, and “tower” and “wine vat” point to the gate of righteousness, through which every circumcised child enters. The guests bless the host of the celebration and accompany Rabbi Abba; the man relates that he married the widow of his brother who died childless, and Rabbi Abba tells him to call his son Idi. Back home, Rabbi Abba tells everything to Rabbi Elazar and fears to tell Rabbi Shimon, who explains the verse “Abram fell on his face.” Rabbi Shimon instructs Rabbi Abba to study and then forget for thirty days, and afterwards says these matters will be revealed among the companions. Rabbi Yosi cites “Then your light shall break forth like the dawn.”
