זוהר בראשית — דף קסב ע”ב
Summary
The Zohar continues by asking what happens in the time of exile, and answers that the righteous one is held fast above and below and is never abandoned. On “God set them in the firmament of the heavens,” it says that this refers to the righteous one, the end of the body. Two firmaments are described, the beginning and the end, along with the eighth firmament in which all the stars and lights are set; they stand as one, and the river flows without ceasing. The difference between them is that one sustains and nourishes the upper world and the other the lower world. Finally, “the cedars of Lebanon that He planted,” the two birds, and the link to “Laban had two daughters” are mentioned.
