זוהר בראשית — דף קצט ע”ב
Summary
The Zohar continues its discussion of charity (tzedakah), which is the Torah and peace. A Jew who has joined Rabbi Yose raises a difficulty with the verse “He who tills his land shall be satisfied with bread” and explains it according to the secret of “to till it and to keep it”: serving the Garden of Eden so as to draw blessings down from above. He then comments on “a faithful man abounds in blessings” and tells of Rabbi Yessa the Elder, who asked the King for his food before preparing it. The text next asks why Joseph remembered the dreams, and answers: because he saw his brothers bowing before him. It also teaches that an uninterpreted dream is like a letter unread, and that the righteous are shown true things, as Daniel was.
