When the Torah was given, a supernal light burst forth and adorned all worlds. Moses ascended into the cloud of Glory and encountered the angels: Kemu'el with his twelve thousand deputies, Hadarniel who speaks through two hundred thousand firmaments, and Sandalfon who weaves crowns from Israel's prayers behind the Pargod. Moses used the twelve-letter Name and the seventy-two-letter Name to pass among the angels. These sacred Names are the keys that open the gates of the heavenly realms and allow one who knows them to traverse the seven heavens.
