The Zohar discusses whether "Remember" itself needs to be sanctified, and concludes yes: it is sanctified during the day, and "Observe" at night. All the sanctities that Israel receives on Shabbat derive from these, and Israel sanctifies itself through the King's holiness. The discussion continues on the secret of Shabbat's entry and departure. Rabbi Shimon reveals that during Shabbat the supernal worlds open and bestow blessings upon all the lower worlds. The priests, Levites, and Israel each receive a different holiness according to their level.
