Ve-ahavta is the beginning of the Right; whoever awakens love toward the Holy One awakens His right toward him. Everything in the world depends on will: spirit draws spirit and brings spirit. The Right is only awakened in three modes: with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might — heart, soul and wealth together. Thirteen commandments are attached to the Right: ve-ahavta, be-khol levavkha, be-khol nafshekha, be-khol me’odekha, ve-shinantam, ve-dibarta bam, be-shivtekha, u-va-lekhtekha, u-va-shokhbekha, u-va-kumekha, u-qeshartam, ve-hayu le-totafot, u-khetavtam. The Left is included in the Right, and so it must be everywhere.
