זוהר שמות — דף קפו ע”ב

Summary

The Elder saw Rabbi Shimon weeping. Rabbi Shimon asked: if it is the seventh month, why from twenty years? The Elder replied that the earthly court does not judge below twenty, but the heavenly court judges even below twenty. Age twenty is when a person is given over to himself, and then heavenly judgment acts upon him. Tears and the secret of weeping over exile are received above and open the gates of mercy.
