Superior appointees weigh males and females to match them together, and are called scales. That is why it is written: “In scales to ascend.” In this palace stand ten holy pillars, each of which produces twelve thousand appointed angels. The pillars, according to the sides of the world, receive light from a hidden superior place unknown to any person, and from there abundance spreads through all the worlds.
