זוהר ויקרא — דף יב ע”ב

Summary

It is explained that "dominion and dread make peace in His heights" (Job 25) alludes to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov (or to Michael and Gabriel) who make peace between the attributes, and that the peace offering increases peace in the world. Rabbi Acha discusses the thanksgiving offering that comes with confession of sin, and explains the meaning of the loaves, wine and oil accompanying the offerings, each bearing an aspect of mercy and an aspect of judgment. The passage closes with the story of Rabbi Chizkiya and Rabbi Yitzchak rising at midnight to study Torah, and praise for the "children of faith" who unify the Holy Name at that hour.
