זוהר במדבר — דף קלב ע”א
Summary
The Zohar responds to Rabbi Yeissa's question: if Moses did not sin, why did he die? The answer is that Moses died through the kiss of the Holy Blessed One — not through the serpent, but because his time had come. The Zohar then describes the arrangement of the tribes around the Tabernacle, each tribe with its banner and color corresponding to the four directions of the heavens. The camp arrangement in the desert is connected to the secret of the Divine Chariot (Merkava) of Ezekiel's vision.
