זוהר בראשית — דף קיח ע”א
Summary
Rabbi Yose opens the book and sees in it seventy-two engraved letters, handed to the first man, containing supernal wisdom and all that is to come. He and Rabbi Yehuda study it; when they reach the secrets of the book, a spark of fire and a gust of wind strike their hands, and the book is lost to them. Rabbi Shimon says that the Holy One, blessed be He, does not wish it to be revealed so fully; as the days of the Messiah draw near, even children will find the secrets of wisdom, and “then I will turn to the peoples a pure language” when Knesset Yisrael rises from the dust. Finally, Abraham was bound to the south, but he rose to his place only when Isaac was born.
