זוהר בראשית — דף קיט ע”א
Summary
The Zohar considers someone who dies before reaching twenty and without being liable, and explains that he is punished when no oversight from above rests upon him; it cites “there is one swept away without judgment” and “the wicked shall be caught by his own iniquities.” Rabbi Shimon then opens with “I will remember My covenant with Jacob” and applies it to Israel’s exile and to the secret of the Vav in the sixth millennium. The text lists years and signs of the visitation and redemption: the revelation of King Messiah in Galilee, the wars of the nations, and their gathering in Rome. It then describes the renewal of souls, declares blessed those who remain at the end of the sixth millennium, and turns to the verse “After these things.”
