זוהר בראשית — דף קסד ע”א

Summary

The Zohar describes that the side of impurity will pass from the world, that the Holy One, blessed be He, will remain alone, and that Israel will be a holy people for His service. Rabbi Yitzhak and Rabbi Yissa walk along the road and occupy themselves with Torah. Rabbi Yitzhak explains “the Lord lives, and blessed be my Rock”: the righteous one is called living, and the Living One and the Blessed One unite like a well of living water. Rabbi Yissa opens with “he does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous” and with kings seated on the throne. On the road they meet a man carrying a boy on his shoulder; he tells them that his two sons were taken captive and that he travels so that people may gain merit through him. He opens with “My offering, My bread,” since God’s offering sustains the world, and Rabbi Yissa concludes that no one should be despised.
