זוהר בראשית — דף קפא ע”ב
Summary
The Zohar continues its commentary on “Behold, My servant shall prosper,” applied to the moon when her time to shine arrives: “he shall be exalted and lifted up and be very high” is tied to the upper lights, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Holy One, blessed be He, will awaken the light of the moon to be like the light of the sun, and the dead will awaken. The servant is Metatron, the envoy of his Master; from here the text reads the verses of the servant’s mission as an allegory: “place your hand under my thigh” is the righteous one, “I will make you swear” is tied to the seven lights, and “you shall not take a wife for my son” refers to the body and the soul. According to the text, the dead of the Land of Israel will rise first, and the bodies of idolaters will be shaken out of the land. The ten camels are ten levels, and “at evening time” is the eve of Shabbat, the sixth millennium.
