זוהר שמות — דף כא ע”א

Summary

Moses was wise and skilled in leading his flock according to law, like David who pastured his sheep with wisdom, which is why God made him king over Israel. The good shepherd symbolizes divine governance that distinguishes the weak from the strong. The burning bush is a symbol of the Shekhinah that dwells in exile with Israel. Moses was drawn to the bush because he saw a wondrous thing — the bush burned but was not consumed.
