The Zohar discusses here the secret of the pillar of the angel of Elohim that moved between Israel and Egypt. Three spirits encompassing three were submerged. The perforated stones were blocked, and the waters sealed beneath the holes by seventy-two letters returned to their place. Through the secret of the seventy-two Names, the waters were divided and Israel crossed on dry land. Here was revealed the unity of the Names and the power of holiness, by which Torah and the world are governed in secret.
