זוהר שמות — דף מה ע”א
Summary
The Zohar here expands on the identity of Habakkuk the prophet, whose name signifies a double embrace: one from his mother and one from Elisha who embraced him. The name also alludes to two levels of connection, one from the original place and one that elevated him to higher degrees. Habakkuk s prayer on the shigyonot is connected to the prayer of the hand (Yesod), and Gevurah (divine severity) dominated on that day. Prophecy requires song and music to be aroused, and Habakkuk needed it more than other prophets. When Israel left Egypt, their spirit was broken, and the Holy One healed them through the Shekhinah s presence and the songs they heard.
