זוהר שמות — דף צו ע”א

The Zohar explains the different names of the Holy One blessed be He, distinguishing the unique Name inherited by Israel alone from the name « Elohim » that spreads toward the other nations. The name Elohim was bequeathed to the princes of the lower world and the guardian angels of the nations, and even idolatry is included in this name. Rabbi Hiyya raises the verse « God reigns over the nations » and Rabbi Shimon demonstrates that this verse relates to the name Elohim governing the nations, not to Israel's unique Name. The verse « Who would not fear You, King of the nations » means there is no king of the nations who does not fear the Name.
