Even one who cannot concentrate their heart in prayer must still arrange the praise of their Master and pray, as in 'Hear O Lord the righteous, attend to my cry.' Prayers were established to correspond with the daily offerings, for arousal from below awakens the levels above until the supernal lamp is kindled. The smoke of the offering rises and awakens the holy angels, who in turn arouse the higher levels until the light is ignited. The priests and Levites awaken the union of left and right, and through the desire from below the lower waters flow toward the upper waters, and all worlds receive blessing.
